The social cooperative Muovimente was founded in 2007 by a small group of partners with different backgrounds, education and professional experience. Since the beginning it has focused its activities on cultural and linguistic education in a non formal frame, international volunteering and intercultural education.
It developes a strong cooperation with all the main realities in its territory, including City and Province of Viterbo, Lazio Regional Government, Viterbo Health Authority, Tuscia University, and many other public and private partners from Italy and abroad. It is member of a Grundtvig partnership and another international research and development group (LPCS), both focused on developing education as a tool for active social change, and sustainability at all levels.
It's active in EVS as sending and coordinating organisation since 2009. Its members are also active as trainers in the EVS cycle and Italian pool of trainers.
It also manages the Youth Hostel / Community House of Sermugnano, Castiglione in Teverina (Lazio, Italy). It's a small eco-friendly structure with 36 beds used as a seminar and training centre, commmunity building and resort for sustainable holidays, nature and outdoor education experiences, and retreats.
