 Meeting Summary

At 9:30, MrsBożena Barbara Krasnodębska – headteacher, welcomed all the guests in Centrum KształceniaUstawicznego, Ciepła 32 street. Representatives from the six countries – Poland, Slovenia, Portugal, Turkey, Italy and Greece presented partner institutions. After the introduction of each institution, Mr Carmine RodiFalanga and Mr Miltos Sakellariou did short training about storytelling method.

Before the lunch we had short meeting with local representatives – MrsElżbieta Dzitkowska The Superintendent of Education in Podlasie Region and Ms Anita Żukowska – The Inspector of Eduction from The Municipality of Bialystok. We shared experiences about international adult education experiences and storytelling method.

After the lunch we all agreed the meeting dates, which will be different from planned in the application form. We started the project later that it was planned and because of that we had to change all the schedule. We planned all the international learning activities – C1 (in Italy), C2 and C3 (in Portugal), and transnational project meetings (detailed schedule – see tableDecisions taken).

Next MrsMalgorzataTarasiuk – the coordinator discussed the budget of each partner and presented general rules of Erasmus+ KA2 projects. Each partner agreed the financial rules, which we should remember about during the project.

Then Mrs Ines Gomes Calado presented projects’ evaluation plan. We all agree to fill online  questionnaires.

We also discussed the tasks for each partner – everyone agreed arrangements from the application form. Mr Miltos Sakellariou offered to create the blog and projects’ social media and Google drive accounts. We also spoke about the dissemination of the project– each partner should take the responsibility about this task and create a short information about the project on the institutions’ website. Also every partner should prepare short description of the institution in English with the photos and upload it into the Drive – we will use it to the blog.

Mrs Ines Gomes Calado promised to create the projects’ logo.

Because Greece took responsibility for the blog, Poland will be responsible for the Greek tasks from the application form.

During  the meeting the attendance certificates were given to all the participants.

All the partners agreed that this was a very successful meeting.

“YOUR LIFE – YOUR STORY”

Training in Italy, 8-12 June 2018.

Context and Aims
Stories are the foundation for how we communicate. They enable us to make a personal connection to content on a deeper and richer level, more than a mere list of facts could. Stories touch, move, involve and connect us. Socrates said that "learning is remembering". In this way, we believe that through stories we do definitely learn, in most cases even without noticing.
During the training we aim to show the value of using storytelling in education in experiential ways, and provide practical applications, exercises and techniques to harness our innate ability to transmit, receive and understand information through stories. The seminar will include workshops and modules on storytelling theory and practice, models of building a story, ideas to find and share our personal stories, tips on public speaking, art and theatre activities, the Way of Council method
(www.waysofcouncil.net ).

2. Accomodation
The accommodation was in Sermugnano, in a tiny village between the cities of Viterbo and Orvieto (which is 130 km far from Rome and easily reachable by train). Sermugnano is a beautiful medieval town surrounded by rolling hills, immersed in an inspiring landscape ideal for reflection and education.

The hostel of Sermugnano is regularly used for our residential courses. It has two distinct working or chill-out spaces on the ground floor and 8 bedrooms on the upper floor, each with private bathroom and shower. Wi-fi internet is available free of charge.
The house is usually self-managed by our groups who are responsible for living together during the courses. It is a normal part of our educational approach, and encourages community spirit, responsibility and sharing. In our case, the group will be invited to participate in everyday tasks like cleaning, setting the table, differentiate the garbage and washing up, as part of our experience of sustainable and community living.
